Story by Lloyd Haron

Michael Kors, I really do believe you! Whole-heartedly and without question I believe there are legions of tall, wealthy Kor-Bots that simultaneously exist in the toniest of locals. They magically, and immaculately, après-ski in Gsaad, yacht-hop in St. Bart’s and attend society page evenings in Manhattan. Their entrances, always marked by the frigid rush of an Aspen mountain breeze and the wafting of copter propellers are noteworthy and awe-inspiring. The aloof Michael Kors’ man, as presented in the fall Mercedes Benz 2010 Fashion Show embodies a sporty-sexiness that has become the designers trademark. Defining staples of American style – Grey flannel trousers (left long to gather at the ankles), cashmere trenches (sublime crinkled cashmere), generous sweaters (cashmere again, complete with cowl necks and matching scarves to add volume) are statuesque and luxuriously modern when intrepidly interpreted by Mr. Kors.

The lifestyle message created over the years by Michael Kors is enviable, powerful and assured. His brand of American Style is now cemented in the psyche of fashion aficionados’ worldwide and in his fall 2010 men’s collection the designer was opulent in his refrain. With a subtle re-introduction to the slouch of 1970’s sportswear coupled with his signature luxurious fabrics, textures and rich fur trim the designer has tamed the zeitgeist once again to create timely American classics.
