Long
considered a gateway to the Canadian Market for international business
travelers, the vibrant city of Toronto is now considered a cultural capital
for tourist and a hipster destination for style arbiters making the scene.
To attract the cultural elite at the Toronto film festival and at the many
other festivals throughout the year, as well as long weekend visitors from
the US, Toronto’s unique dining and shopping venues need to be world
class - and they are!
New hotels are being built to meet the growing demand, but the SoHo Metropolitan
Hotel still generates the loudest buzz for providing stylish luxury to
its guests. The hotel is located in central Toronto in the very stylish
art district near the CN Tower. With 72 large guestrooms and 18 super spacious
suites, the fabulously decorated rooms and suites are complete with oversized
closets and luxurious amenities that include Frette lines and Molton Brown
bath goodies.
The jewel in the crown of this handsome hotel is the exceptional three-story
Penthouse Suite, one of the top suites in all of North America. Located
on the top three floors of the building, the very chic 4,000 square foot suite
is Toronto’s address of distinction for visiting celebrities, executives,
and VIPs. The suite features two bedrooms, five bathrooms, professional kitchen
with state-of-the-art appliances, catering kitchen, two wet bars, library, private
dining room, entertainment room with a 65” cinema screen, and of course
a private glass elevator. Whether guests stay for a month or an evening, there
will not be enough time to enjoy the two fireplaces or large rooftop terrace
with hot tub and built-in grill.
Warning to our non movie star readers: When a big production is filming
in Toronto, the marquee header usually has the suite booked. And the names
of A-listers that have stayed in the suite are impressive.
While there aren’t many reasons to leave the suite’s pampering confines,
the award-winning Senses Restaurant and Bar located the lobby are certainly two
of them. We highly recommend a full sensory experience that can only be achieved
by dining at the infamous chef’s table. For morning or teatime, the
Senses Cafe selection of decadent treats will sooth anyone.
When traveling to Toronto we love flying on Porter Airlines.
Flying into Toronto City Airport, just 15 minutes from the hotel, makes
the journey seamless. Visit the SoHo Metropolitan Hotel and other Metropolitan
Hotels for more information. |
